U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground Appoints Melvin Bullard as Chief of Airborne Test Force
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Melvin Bullard has been appointed as the new chief of the Airborne Test Force at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground. Bullard, who previously served in the ATF from 2018 to 2022, is responsible for managing airdrop activities and ensuring safe equipment deployment. Returning from Germany, he expressed enthusiasm about rejoining the ATF.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Melvin Bullard has been appointed as the new chief of the Airborne Test Force (ATF) at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG). The ATF oversees static line, military freefall, heavy drop cargo, and parachute maintenance systems.
Bullard, a South Carolina native, previously served with ATF from 2018 to 2022, where he was involved in various training programs. As chief, he will conduct and manage airdrop activities for developmental test experiments at YTC. Bullard returns to YPG after three years in Germany and is committed to enhancing the ATF's operations.
