U.S. Awards $235M Contract to Sabena Aerospace for F-16 Maintenance Supporting Ukraine
The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a $235 million contract to Sabena Aerospace Engineering for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets, including those supplied to Ukraine. The contract encompasses aircraft and engine maintenance as well as logistics support, to be conducted at Sabena's facility in Belgium, with completion expected by January 28, 2029. Additionally, the U.S. State Department recently approved a potential $310 million sale of training and technical equipment for F-16 jets to Ukraine.

The U.S. Department of Defense has signed a $235 million contract with Sabena Aerospace Engineering for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets, including those supplied to Ukraine. The contract, awarded by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, covers maintenance of F-16 aircraft and engines, along with logistics management support for Ukraine.
The work will be conducted at Sabena's facility in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, and is expected to be completed by January 28, 2029. Additionally, on May 2, the U.S. State Department approved a potential sale of training and technical equipment for F-16 jets to Ukraine valued at $310 million.
