US-Croatia Relations Set for Growth with Major Investments
The US is poised to enhance relations with Croatia through significant investments in energy and technology, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence and energy security. This development aims to position Croatia as a regional energy hub and tech leader, promoting economic and military cooperation.

The US plans to strengthen ties with Croatia through substantial investments in energy and technology, particularly in artificial intelligence, with agreements expected to be signed at the Three Seas Initiative summit in Dubrovnik at the end of April. Key initiatives include the LNG terminal on Krk, improving energy access for Croatia and its regional partners, and a gas pipeline connecting to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The US also seeks to modernize the Croatian navy by offering corvettes, alongside encouraging Croatia’s defense spending in line with NATO commitments. Enhanced economic cooperation is anticipated through a ratified double taxation agreement, fostering increased US investment in Croatia.
