The United States has entered into significant agreements worth billions with Balkan nations, focusing on liquid natural gas (LNG) exports and artificial intelligence (AI) investments. A 20-year contract valued at $6 billion was signed between Venture Global and Aktor LNG USA to export LNG to Albania.
Additionally, a project to construct a gas pipeline from Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to diversify Bosnia's energy sources and decrease dependence on Russian gas, with an investment of approximately €1.5 billion from AAFS Infrastructure and Energy LLC. A joint statement on civil nuclear cooperation was also released.
