The facility will produce steel components for various industries, including wind energy and defense. Construction is projected to begin by 2028, with completion expected in phases through 2030. The company has formed a partnership with Nucor, a local steel supplier, which is also expanding its presence in the area.

U.S. Forged Rings (USFR) plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Hertford County, North Carolina, with an investment of $875 million and the creation of over 700 jobs. The facility will manufacture steel piping and components for industries such as wind energy and defense, with phased construction expected to begin by 2028 and conclude by 2030.
USFR has a supply chain partnership with Nucor, a nearby steel producer, which is also expanding its operations in the county. Recent state investments include $51 million for a dock and $11 million for a road to support industrial loads, facilitating the project.
