US General Services Administration Offers Discounts on Broadcom's VMware Portfolio Under OneGov Agreement
The US General Services Administration is offering discounts of up to 64% on Broadcom's VMware portfolio under a OneGov Agreement. The framework includes VMware Tanzu Platform, Tanzu Data Intelligence, Avi Load Balancer, vDefend, and the Tanzu AI Starter Kit, but excludes VMware vSphere Foundation.
This agreement is seen as a step to enhance AI adoption in government. Broadcom highlights that the deal aims to help agencies maximize their investments in its private cloud platform while enhancing security through a multi-layer defense approach.
Notable past contracts include a $477 million agreement for VMware licenses by the US Army and a $173 million deal by the Navy in 2024. The Defense Systems Agency signed a nearly $1 billion contract last year.
As of December 2023, around 32.3 million entities are estimated to be required to report under the CTA, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
