US Marines Engage in Courtesy Visit to Philippine Army's JTF-Orion in Sulu
Representatives from the US Marine Special Operations Company visited the Joint Task Force-Orion in Sulu for a courtesy engagement. The Philippine Army's 11th Infantry Division clarified that there are no plans for a US military base in the province, emphasizing ongoing authority over security operations. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and dialogue on security matters. Separately, the 11ID promoted five lieutenants to captain in recognition of their service.

The US Marine Special Operations Company, under Major Benjamin Ryan, visited the Joint Task Force-Orion headquarters in Sulu as a courtesy and coordination engagement. The 11th Infantry Division (11ID) of the Philippine Army clarified that there are no plans for a US military base in Sulu, asserting that security operations remain under Philippine authority.
The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation on security matters. In a separate event, the 11ID promoted five lieutenants to captain in a ceremony led by Major General Leonardo Peña, recognizing their service and commitment to the 11ID's mission.
