U.S. Military Services Release Draft SEIS/OEIS for Mariana Islands Training and Testing Activities
The U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, and Coast Guard released a Draft SEIS/OEIS to assess environmental impacts of military readiness activities in the Mariana Islands. Public comments are invited from March 2 to May 1, 2026. Activities include training, testing, and modernization at sea and on Farallon de Medinilla.

The Department of the Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S.
Coast Guard have prepared a Draft SEIS/OEIS to evaluate environmental effects of proposed military readiness activities in the Mariana Islands, including training and testing. The public comment period runs from March 2 to May 1, 2026.
Proposed activities are similar to past operations, with updates to type, frequency, and intensity. The Action Proponents will implement measures to mitigate potential environmental impacts during these activities.
