U.S. Navy Advances Saronic's MUSV in At-Sea Testing Phase
Saronic has been selected for the at-sea testing of the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) Marketplace Program. This initiative aims to field unmanned technologies rapidly, enhancing the Navy's autonomous capabilities and production strategies.

The U.S. Navy has chosen Saronic to participate in at-sea testing for its MUSV Marketplace Program, which seeks to implement unmanned technologies efficiently. Saronic's Marauder, a 180-foot Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel, is designed for autonomous operations with a speed exceeding 25 knots, a range of 5,400 nautical miles, and a payload capacity of 150 metric tons.
The company is investing $300 million to expand its Louisiana shipyard, targeting production of 20 Marauders annually by the end of 2026. Additionally, Saronic and Castelion plan to develop a hypersonic vehicle for maritime operations, integrating hypersonic strike capabilities with the Marauder. Investments in production capacity underscore a strategic shift for the U.S. military, focusing on scalable manufacturing of advanced systems for modern conflict.
