US Navy to Deploy Three Unmanned Surface Vessel Divisions Next Week
The US Navy will establish three unmanned surface vessel (USV) divisions next week and deploy two medium USVs, Seahawk and Sea Hunter, this year to bolster surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. The small USV fleet is projected to grow from four to hundreds by 2025, with further acquisitions planned for USVs equipped with containerised payloads.
