US Navy to Develop FF(X) Frigate Class After Cancelling FFG(X) Program

DEFENSE

The US Navy announced the new FF(X) frigate class in late 2025, following the cancellation of four vessels in the FFG(X) Constellation-class program due to construction delays and cost overruns. Huntington Ingalls Industries will build the new FF(X) vessels.
