US Navy Transfers 10 TH-57 Helicopters to Sri Lanka Air Force
The US Navy has transferred 10 TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopters to the Sri Lanka Air Force, enhancing defense cooperation. This donation under the U.S. Excess Defense Articles Program aims to support pilot training and humanitarian efforts in Sri Lanka. The helicopters are scheduled to arrive by February, promoting regional stability and mutual understanding between the nations.

The US Navy transferred 10 TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopters to the Sri Lanka Air Force to strengthen defense cooperation. The helicopters, provided at no cost under the U.S. Excess Defense Articles Program, will be used for pilot training and humanitarian assistance.
The first batch is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka in February, with more deliveries to follow. This initiative reflects the US commitment to regional stability and enhancing the operational capabilities of Sri Lanka's Air Force. PMA-273 manages the TH-57 program, while PMA-226 oversees other military aircraft.
