US Sends KC-135 Stratotanker Aircraft to Romania for Aerial Refueling Operations

The KC-135 Stratotanker has been sent to Romania as a crucial refueling aircraft for the US Air Force, active for over 60 years. It is designed to refuel military aircraft during flight and can also transport cargo and passengers, including patients for medical evacuations.
The aircraft is powered by four turbofan engines and can take off at a maximum weight of approximately 322,500 pounds. It has a maximum transport capacity of 83,000 pounds and a flight speed of about 530 mph at 30,000 feet. The US Air Force manages nearly 400 KC-135s, which are continually modernized to meet current operational demands.
