USA Modernizes Romanian Army Combat Training System with Cubic's CATS Metrix
The U.S. is implementing a modernization of Romania's combat readiness program through the CATS Metrix system developed by Cubic Defense. This system monitors combat in real time, evaluates potential casualties, and adapts combat training architecture.
It enables Romanian commanders to assess soldier effectiveness with data-driven analysis. CATS Metrix digitally tracks individual soldiers and units during combat exercises, simulating impacts without live ammunition.
It records movement and interaction data, providing commanders with performance insights. The system is expected to be implemented in Romania as part of an agreement between Cubic and the U.S. Army's Capabilities Development Programs Agency, aimed at enhancing training, simulation, and threat response.
