USAG Humphreys Fire Department Recognized as Best in Pacific for 2025
The U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Fire and Emergency Services has been awarded the title of 'Best Large Fire Department in the Pacific Region for 2025' by IMCOM-Pacific. This recognition positions the department to compete for the global title, highlighting its excellence in emergency response and community engagement.

The Fire Department at U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys has received the 'Best Large Fire Department in the Pacific Region for 2025' accolade from IMCOM-Pacific, advancing to compete worldwide. The department, with around 150 personnel, operates four fire stations on Camp Humphreys and one at K-16 Airfield, responding to 1,379 emergencies in 2025.
Additionally, several personnel received individual honors, including Fire Chief of the Year for Marcus Shepard and awards for Ko Pyong-son and Paek Won-ki. They engaged over 65,000 individuals through fire safety education and outreach, collaborating closely with local emergency responders to enhance community safety.
