Dr. Julius Rone, CEO of UTM Offshore Limited, and Engr. Emeka Oguchi, CEO of Point Technologies Limited, were awarded the Investor of the Year at The Sun Awards.

The ceremony will take place on January 31, 2026, at the Expo Convention Centre, Lagos. Rone highlighted the significance of their project, Nigeria's first floating LNG facility, which aims for a production capacity of 2.8 million tons per annum.

This initiative is aligned with national objectives for gas resource development. Oguchi reflected on his entrepreneurial journey in the mobile devices market, noting his company’s role in providing access to technology. The awards will also honor 34 other individuals, including various governors and notable figures across different sectors.
