Uzbekistan Launches INNO Science Park with Hungarian Collaboration for Tech and Research Development
Uzbekistan inaugurated the INNO Science Park in Jizzakh on March 6, marking its first center for high technology and research, with assistance from Hungary's Óbuda University. The park aims to bridge academic research, government funding, and the economy, fostering the Uzbek startup ecosystem. Hungary will support education by sending 50 students annually to Óbuda University. In related developments, President Mirziyoyev outlined goals for the chemical industry and plans for a nuclear plant with Belarusian support to enhance energy independence.

The INNO Science Park, Uzbekistan's first high technology and research center, opened on March 6 in Jizzakh with Hungarian support from Óbuda University. This partnership aims to enhance the Uzbek startup ecosystem by linking academic research with economic initiatives.
The park will cover critical tech fields such as IT, robotics, and medical technology, and will include a venture capital office for startups. Additionally, President Mirziyoyev announced investment goals for the chemical industry, targeting $720 million in exports and 133 projects totaling $9.5 billion. Belarus will assist Uzbekistan in developing a nuclear plant in Jizzak, leveraging Russian expertise for energy independence.
