Uzbekistan Pursues Investment in Sustainable Aviation Fuel with Henderson Land Group
Uzbekistan is in discussions with Henderson Land Group to invest in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and SAF production. The collaboration aims to enhance the country's green economy initiatives through innovative agricultural practices.

Uzbekistan's Deputy Agriculture Minister, Alisher Shukurov, met with Henderson Land Group Chairman, Peter Lee Ka-kit, to explore investment in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture. Key discussions included developing SAF projects by cultivating drought-resistant oilseed crops on 1 to 1.5 million hectares of underutilized land in Karakalpakstan and the Bukhara and Navoi regions.
The dialogue also addressed improving the investment climate with tax incentives, water subsidies, and carbon market mechanisms. Continued collaboration may enhance Uzbekistan's transition to a more sustainable agricultural sector.
