Valkyrie Enterprises Establishes Defense Lab at Old Dominion University
Valkyrie Enterprises is investing $500,000 to launch the Valkyrie Defense Lab at Old Dominion University, set to open in fall 2026. The lab aims to enhance digital engineering and AI capabilities among students through collaboration with industry professionals.

Valkyrie Enterprises is establishing the Valkyrie Defense Lab at Old Dominion University with a $500,000 investment. This facility will be housed within the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, focusing on digital engineering, AI, modeling, simulation, and C5ISR integration.
Programs are scheduled to commence in fall 2026, where students will engage in applied research and senior design projects alongside industry experts. Valkyrie will provide an enterprise license for the JTLS-GO simulation platform, supporting a certification program for military-affiliated students.
Additionally, Valkyrie holds a $48 million contract for combat systems engineering at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. This initiative may enhance workforce development in defense technologies.
