Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) has successfully overhauled its first two T-72 tanks as part of a pilot project to enhance India's tank maintenance capabilities. This event, marked by a ceremony led by Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla, highlights VFJ's role in supporting the Indian Army's operational needs.
The initiative responds to increased demand for tank maintenance, with VFJ now collaborating with Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) to strengthen the Army's sustainment infrastructure. Approved for pilot overhauls in 2025, VFJ adhered to the Army's technical specifications, showcasing its operational readiness.
