Venezuela Signs First LNG Export Contract; Focus on Domestic Production

Delcy Rodríguez, acting president of Venezuela, announced the signing of the country's first liquefied natural gas export contract during the National Economic Council meeting. She emphasized that oil revenue will support domestic production and social development through sovereign wealth funds.
Rodríguez stated that PDVSA increased oil production to 1.2 million barrels per day. The plan includes credit access for various productive sectors and a focus on import substitution. Rodríguez called for a National Committee for the Defense of Venezuela's Economic Rights in international forums.
