Venus Aerospace Secures $91 Million for Rocket Engine Development
Venus Aerospace has raised $91 million in Series B funding to enhance its rotating detonation rocket engine technology. This capital will facilitate the scale-up of production and development for defense and aerospace applications, addressing current propulsion system limitations.

Venus Aerospace has completed a Series B funding round, securing $91 million to advance its rotating detonation rocket engine (RDRE) technology. The financing, led by Mercury Fund with contributions from Lockheed Martin Ventures and other investors, aims to transition from flight testing to operational deployment.
The RDRE generates thrust via a continuously rotating detonation wave, enhancing efficiency by 15% compared to traditional engines. The company plans to utilize domestic manufacturing to reduce reliance on foreign components.
Following a successful flight test in May 2025, Venus is poised to meet the growing demand for hypersonic capabilities in defense and space sectors. The rapid advancements in its technology underscore the potential for enhanced mission effectiveness and operational reliability.
