VERBUND Green Power and Nordex Group Sign Agreement for 700 MW Wind Turbine Supply by 2030
VERBUND Green Power has signed a multi-year framework agreement with Nordex Group for the procurement of up to 700 MW of wind turbines, effective through 2030. The agreement, signed on January 16 in Madrid, involves the supply of up to 105 units of Nordex onshore wind turbines for projects in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, and Albania.
This capacity is expected to cover approximately 50% of VERBUND Green Power's wind project pipeline, pending approvals and agreements. The partnership aligns with VERBUND's Mission V strategy, which aims for wind and solar energy to comprise 25% of total generation by 2030. The company currently operates over 1.2 GW of renewable capacity across Europe and is focused on expanding its project pipeline.
