Veterans Affairs Awards Salesforce $1.6B AI Integration Contract
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has signed a $1.6 billion, three-year contract with Salesforce to implement AI systems. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency by reducing administrative burdens and improving service delivery for veterans.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded Salesforce a contract valued at $1.6 billion for a three-year period, focused on integrating AI into VA workflows. This agreement includes the deployment of AI agents within a virtual contact center, aimed at streamlining patient triage, benefits verification, and appointment scheduling, reducing the average scheduling time significantly.
This contract extends VA's existing relationship with Salesforce, which has supported various VA initiatives over the past decade. The initiative aligns with Executive Order 14058, mandating improved digital services within federal agencies.
While Salesforce's contract is significant, it remains the second-largest awarded to the company this year, following a $5.6 billion contract with the U.S. Army.
