Vicenza High School Students Tour Army Family Housing Project in Italy
Vicenza High School students toured the Army Family Housing construction site, part of a $500 million project for 428 families. The tour connected various subjects, such as urban development and human geography, to real-world applications. Students engaged with professionals overseeing the project, exploring the phases of construction and future community features like green spaces and pedestrian areas. The experience aimed to inspire careers in architecture and urban planning among students.

Vicenza High School students visited the Army Family Housing construction site in Italy, part of a $500 million project aimed at housing 428 Army families. Since breaking ground in 2021, the construction has progressed in phases, with students connecting their studies in environmental science and human geography to the project.
They learned about urban planning and the community's green spaces, with professionals explaining the practical aspects of their education. The visit aimed to inspire students' future careers in architecture and city planning. This marks the second tour for students from the Vicenza military community, with ongoing collaboration between the NAVFAC team and local schools.
