Vigilante Group of Nigeria Enhances Surveillance in Kaduna Amid Rising Violence
The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) is intensifying its surveillance operations in Kaduna State due to increasing killings. This initiative, led by Commander-General Navy Captain Umar Abubakar Bakori, aims to bolster security in vulnerable border communities.

In response to a rise in killings, the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has mandated its commanders to heighten surveillance in Kaduna State, particularly near the Plateau State border. This directive was communicated by Commander-General Navy Captain Umar Abubakar Bakori during a workshop for local commanders.
Bakori emphasized the necessity for operatives to report suspicious activities promptly to security agencies. He also highlighted the organization's resource limitations and called for governmental and individual support for logistical needs. VGN members operate voluntarily and seek additional resources to enhance community safety efforts against banditry and terrorism.
