Vigor Marine Secures $73.42M Contract for USS Emory S. Land Overhaul
Vigor Marine has been awarded a $73.42 million contract for a 215-day overhaul and dry docking of the USS Emory S. Land (AS 39). Work is set to commence on May 1, 2026, and conclude by December 1, 2026. The contract includes options that could increase its value to $74.81 million. Funding comprises $68.48 million from fiscal year 2026 Navy operations and maintenance and $4.95 million from Navy working capital. The Military Sealift Command in Norfolk, Virginia, is overseeing the contract.

Vigor Marine has obtained a $73.42 million contract for the overhaul and dry docking of the USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), with a 215-day shipyard availability starting May 1, 2026, and ending by December 1, 2026.
The contract could rise to $74.81 million if additional options are exercised. Funding includes $68.48 million from fiscal year 2026 Navy operations and maintenance funds and $4.95 million from Navy working capital funds.
The contract activity is managed by the Military Sealift Command in Norfolk, Virginia. USS Emory S. Land supports Los Angeles-class submarines and operates under the US Pacific Fleet and Commander, Submarine Group 7.
