Volunteers Across Europe 3D Print Drone Components for Ukraine's Military Efforts
3D printing for military applications has become crucial in Ukraine, with volunteers producing essential parts across Europe. This decentralized production approach enhances supply chain efficiency for critical military needs.

Volunteers in Europe are producing 3D-printed parts for Ukraine's military, addressing delays in supply chains. One Ukrainian volunteer in Warsaw operates three printers continuously, having processed over 500 kilograms of plastic in 2024 to manufacture components such as mechanical safety devices and antennas.
The Print Army network, which includes London-based Etienne Paresys, has contributed over 100 kilograms of drone and bomb parts. At least 30 volunteer groups are engaged in this effort, with some operating large printer farms. This decentralized production model reduces transport and storage costs, reflecting a significant aspect of Ukrainian civil society's response in the war.
