This project, prompted by the Pentagon's call to enhance domestic defense capabilities, has raised concerns among local residents regarding transparency and environmental safety, especially given the site's history with chemical weapons. The facility is expected to create 120 jobs and will focus on producing weapon systems and propulsion components, backed by over $39 million in federal funding.
