Waaree Energies Limited has begun construction on a 10 GW solar ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Butibori, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The facility will cover 300 acres and require an investment of approximately INR 62 billion.

It aims to produce high-purity solar ingots and wafers, critical components in the solar photovoltaic value chain, with the goal of reducing import dependence. The project is expected to generate over 8,000 direct and indirect jobs and foster economic development in the region. The facility is set to significantly enhance India's upstream solar manufacturing capacity.
