Wan Hai Lines Orders Six LNG-Powered Boxships from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong in China

Wan Hai Lines has ordered six dual-fuel LNG-powered vessels from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding in China, with delivery expected by 2030. The total contract value ranges from $451.2 million to $492 million, with individual prices between $75.2 million and $82 million.

This order will expand Wan Hai's fleet to approximately 150 vessels. The ships are designed for regional and intra-Asia trades and include upgraded onboard equipment. Wan Hai currently has over 30 ships on order, including an 8,000 teu series from CSBC Corporation and a batch of 16,000 teu vessels from South Korean yards, which have been converted from methanol-ready to LNG propulsion.
