Wewise Partners with European Manufacturers to Implement Solar Energy Solutions
Electricity demand in Europe is projected to increase by 60% by 2030, prompting manufacturers to shift towards on-site solar energy. Wewise, a collective of B2B solar energy specialists, is collaborating with industrial businesses to stabilize energy costs and reduce grid reliance. Projects in France, Germany, and the UK demonstrate the effectiveness of solar power and smart storage in enhancing sustainability and operational efficiency.

With a projected 60% rise in electricity demand in Europe by 2030, manufacturers are increasingly adopting solar energy solutions to secure reliable energy. Wewise is assisting businesses in transitioning to on-site solar power and storage, which helps stabilize costs and mitigate grid dependency.
This strategy allows manufacturers to generate electricity during the day and sell excess back to the grid, thus increasing revenue. Recent projects include the CITBA Group in France, which installed a solar system that meets 72% of its energy needs, and SEW-EURODRIVE in Germany, which reduced CO2 emissions by 1,541 tonnes.
In the UK, Carlisle Brake & Friction implemented a 500 kWp rooftop solar system to cut electricity costs. These initiatives highlight solar energy's role in driving sustainability and operational performance in manufacturing.
