Wildwood Coating, Inc. has achieved AMPP QP3 certification, allowing the company to perform specialized coating work for U.S. Navy aircraft manufacturing, including the CVN-80 and CVN-81 vessels. As the only QP3-certified coatings provider in Michigan, Wildwood joins a select group of defense-qualified contractors nationally.

The certification, which necessitated a $250,000 investment, enhances Wildwood's position in naval supply chains, expected to yield several million dollars in new business and create 10 to 12 jobs in the next five years. Support for this effort was provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation through regional initiatives.
