Willowood Chemicals has removed 18.5 tonnes of waste from the Adi Ganga, with 30% earmarked for recycling as part of a technology-driven river-cleaning effort. This initiative, in collaboration with Clear Robotics India Pvt.
Ltd. and sanctioned by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, employs AI-powered autonomous vessels designed for narrow waterways. The project not only addresses waste management but also improves ecological conditions by clearing invasive species and enhancing water flow.
Additionally, Willowood is engaged in agricultural research through partnerships with local universities in West Bengal. The initiative could set a precedent for sustainable urban water management practices, highlighting the role of technology in addressing environmental challenges.
