Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has appointed Michael McGinley as Senior Of Counsel and launched a Defense Tech industry group. This initiative aims to provide strategic guidance to clients in defense and dual-use technologies amidst increasing public and private investments.

The Defense Tech group will integrate various legal services, including corporate, capital markets, and cybersecurity, to support clients in compliance and resilience. McGinley, a U.S. Air Force Reserve brigadier general, leads an AI-driven national security platform and has been recognized with multiple awards for his contributions to government IT and innovation in emerging technology. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University, an M.P.A. from Auburn University, and a B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
