Windfall Geotek Inc. announced its leadership of a consortium for the Borealis Initiative, part of Canada's $50 billion defense investment plan. The company will participate in the Call for Proposals for Defence Innovation Secure Hubs (DISH), aiming to apply for funding between $5 million and $10 million.

The consortium will include industry leaders in uncrewed systems and AI, along with researchers from Quebec universities. The proposal submission deadline is April 2, 2026. Windfall Geotek has extensive experience in AI applications for land mine detection using drones, positioning it to address urgent needs, particularly in Ukraine.
