Windracers has unveiled the ULTRA drone, capable of carrying 200 kg (440 lbs) over 2,000 km (1,200 miles). Currently, it has achieved this range while carrying 100 kg (220 lbs), with plans to double the payload in a few months.

The drone is designed for both civilian and defense applications, including scientific research and humanitarian relief. Windracers aims to scale manufacturing to produce hundreds of ULTRA drones in the next two years, coinciding with increased defense spending in the UK and Europe. The ULTRA has already assisted in mapping remote areas of West Antarctica and is known for its versatility in extreme environments.
