Wärtsilä and Carnival Corporation have entered an 8-year Lifecycle Agreement for four LNG-powered cruise vessels, enhancing operational efficiency. This partnership aims to improve fleet reliability and reduce maintenance costs through comprehensive lifecycle support.

Wärtsilä has signed an 8-year Lifecycle Agreement with Carnival Corporation, covering four LNG-powered cruise vessels from the Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line fleets, including two newbuilds. The agreement includes maintenance support, logistics for spare parts, major engine overhauls, and performance management through KPIs.
This marks the first service contract related to Carnival's LNG-fueled ships, booked by Wärtsilä in Q2 2026. The partnership emphasizes lifecycle optimization and aims to reduce unscheduled maintenance and enhance asset availability, reflecting a broader industry trend towards data-driven service models.
