Xona Space Systems has announced a $170 million Series C funding round, led by Mohari Ventures Natural Capital, to accelerate the deployment of its Pulsar satellite navigation system. This funding will support satellite production at its Burlingame, California facility.
Xona's goal is to establish a constellation of 258 low-Earth orbit satellites that promise centimeter-level accuracy, overcoming the limitations of current GPS technology. The first satellite was launched in June 2025, with plans for more launches in 2026.
The technology aims to provide stronger signals and improved resistance to jamming, with applications in various sectors such as telecommunications, agriculture, and defense. Initial commercial demand is anticipated from industries requiring high-precision navigation, supported by a Strategic Funding Increase agreement with the U.S. Space Force.
