xTerra Robotics, founded in March 2023 in Kanpur, is developing Svan M2, India's first commercial quadruped robot for industrial applications. The robot assists in hazardous tasks and supports research in human-machine collaboration.

So far, xTerra has 12 customers and revenue over 10 million rupees. Manufacturing is outsourced to Bengaluru, and assembly takes place in Kanpur. The company faces challenges in talent acquisition and funding, with ongoing support from incubators and government programs. Currently producing five robots per quarter, xTerra aims to scale to 50 robots per quarter next year and ultimately achieve 1000 robots per quarter.
