Yangpyeong County Secures KRW 700 Million for 2026 Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project
Yangpyeong County has secured KRW 700 million in national funding for the 2026 Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project, with a total project investment of KRW 3 billion for installing renewable energy facilities in 383 homes and buildings. The project supports the installation of solar power, solar thermal, and geothermal systems, covering up to 80% of installation costs.
The initiative targets six townships: Danwol-myeon, Cheongun-myeon, Yangdong-myeon, Jipyeong-myeon, Yongmun-myeon, and Gaegun-myeon, planning 357 solar, 7 thermal, and 19 geothermal facilities. From 2019 to 2025, the county received KRW 6.1 billion in national funding, deploying thousands of renewable energy systems.
