YIT Begins Construction of Jätkäsaari Circular Economy Block in Helsinki
YIT has commenced construction of the Circular Economy Block in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki, featuring 70 right-of-occupancy apartments, 84 rental apartments for seniors, service spaces, and business premises. The project, developed by the Yrjö and Hanna Foundation, aims to promote sustainable urban living with a completion target of spring 2028. The design emphasizes circular economy principles and includes renewable materials, geothermal heating, and solar energy. The project is part of Helsinki's Kehittyvä kerrostalo development program.

YIT has started construction on the Circular Economy Block in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki, which will include 70 right-of-occupancy apartments and 84 rental apartments for seniors, along with service and business spaces. The project, developed by the Yrjö and Hanna Foundation, spans over 11,000 square meters with eight residential floors and an underground garage.
Completion is expected in spring 2028. The project focuses on circular economy principles with sustainable materials, geothermal heating, and solar panels. It is part of Helsinki's Kehittyvä kerrostalo development program and aims to foster community and adaptability in urban living.
