Yokogawa Selected for Commonwealth LNG's $13.5 Billion Louisiana Project
Yokogawa Corp. has been awarded a contract as the main automation contractor for Commonwealth LNG's $13.5 billion export project. This partnership is vital for enhancing operational efficiency and safety in meeting global energy demands.

Commonwealth LNG has appointed Yokogawa Corp. of America as the main automation contractor for its LNG export project in Louisiana, valued at $13.5 billion. Under a contract from Technip Energies, Yokogawa will oversee the integration of control and safety systems, engineering design, and project execution support.
Officially approved for final investment decision in May, the project is set to have a liquefaction capacity of 9.5 million tonnes per year across six trains. Pre-construction activities commenced in December 2025, and EPC site mobilization started in March 2026, with system deliveries planned for 2027. The first phase is expected to start operations in 2030, reinforcing the U.S. position as a leading LNG exporter.
