Yongin City has concluded its project aimed at reducing harmful gas emissions from small laundromats by distributing eco-friendly washing machines. The city, the only local government in Gyeonggi Province to undertake such an initiative, allocated 248.5 million won for this effort.

Five small laundromats received high-efficiency washing machines as part of the program, which focused on enhancing the environment in areas closely connected to residents' daily lives. The selected laundromats replaced outdated equipment with integrated units designed to suppress organic solvent evaporation and improve purification, leading to better air quality and a reduction in odors and air pollutants affecting nearby homes.
