Zambia Approves Tanzania-Zambia and Namibia-Zambia Pipeline Projects for Fuel Security
Zambia has approved the construction of the Tanzania-Zambia Multi-Products Pipeline and the Namibia-Zambia Refined Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline under a Public-Private Partnership. This initiative aims to enhance petroleum infrastructure, provide alternative sources of fuel, and strengthen the supply chain as national fuel consumption is projected to reach 3.7 million tonnes annually by 2030.

Zambia's government has approved the construction of the Tanzania-Zambia Multi-Products Pipeline and the Namibia-Zambia Refined Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline as part of a Public-Private Partnership. The projects are intended to provide alternative sources of petroleum products, strengthen supply chains, and meet the anticipated rise in national fuel consumption, projected at 3.7 million tonnes per year by 2030. The pipelines aim to reduce costs, stabilize prices, enhance supply security, and promote Zambia as a regional energy hub, supporting long-term economic growth.
