Zambia Completes Over 200 Houses at Mikango Barracks in Chongwe District
Zambia has completed over 200 houses at Mikango Barracks in Chongwe District as part of a defense housing project, confirmed during an inspection by Ministry of Defence officials. The project includes various housing units and completed sewerage ponds, with the Permanent Secretary expressing satisfaction with the workmanship and assuring support for the contractor, Zhongmei Engineering Group Limited. The inspection involved officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development.

Over 200 houses at Mikango Barracks in Chongwe District have been completed as part of a defence housing project. The completion was confirmed during an inspection by Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Maambo Haamaundu and Zambia Army Deputy Commander Major General Luswepo Sinyinza.
The inspection included high-cost, medium-cost, and low-cost housing units, along with completed sewerage ponds for the new residential area. Haamaundu expressed satisfaction with the workmanship and assured contractor Zhongmei Engineering Group Limited of government support for timely project completion and payments. Officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development participated in the tour.
