Zelenskyy Discusses Drone Production and Security Cooperation at European Summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans for joint drone production with the EU, highlighting a shift in military dynamics with Russia. The discussions aim to bolster European defense capabilities amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly regarding the Middle East and U.S. military aid.

During the 8th European Political Community summit in Yerevan, President Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine plans to collaborate with the EU on drone production, emphasizing the need for Europe to enhance its defense capabilities. He noted that Russia's upcoming Victory Day parade may lack military equipment for the first time, indicating a weakening of Moscow's military posture.
Zelenskyy also addressed the unresolved Middle East crisis, linking it to global stability and energy security. He discussed Ukraine's aspirations for EU membership with Slovak and Polish leaders, reinforcing the importance of regional cooperation.
Concerns regarding U.S. military aid amidst the Iran conflict could impact Ukraine's defense strategy, particularly the delivery of Patriot missiles. Without U.S. support, Ukraine's options may be limited, highlighting the urgency for self-reliance in defense production.
