Zentek Achieves Ultra-High Purity Graphite Status; Intrepid Advances Lithium Project in Utah

Zentek's subsidiary Albany Graphite has achieved ultra-high purity graphite status, meeting critical industry standards for sectors such as nuclear energy and aerospace. The graphite has a boron level of 2.60 ppm, indicating its suitability for nuclear applications.

The global ultra-high purity graphite market is expected to grow significantly by 2030, driven by advancements in various technologies. Zentek aims to enhance Canada's supply security by establishing Albany Graphite as a leading domestic supplier.

Meanwhile, Intrepid Potash, in collaboration with Aquatech and Adionics, has successfully produced battery-grade lithium carbonate from brine at its Wendover, Utah facility, achieving a lithium extraction rate of 92.9% and lithium chloride purity above 99.5%. The companies are progressing under a Joint Development Agreement to evaluate a lithium processing facility, with a goal for a final investment decision in 2026.
