Zentek Prepares Economic Assessment for Albany Graphite Deposit in Ontario
Zentek's preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its Albany graphite deposit is set for summer release, marking a significant milestone for the company. The assessment will inform future mining decisions and attract U.S. buyers in the defense and high-tech sectors.

Zentek is preparing to release a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its Albany graphite deposit, located in northeastern Ontario, this summer. The Albany deposit contains an indicated resource of 22.9 million tonnes of graphitic carbon and an inferred resource of 13.1 million tonnes.
The PEA will evaluate the economic viability of the project, outlining operational metrics, resource quality, and capital costs. Following the PEA, Zentek plans to advance to a prefeasibility study to meet the requirements of potential off-take partners and investors.
The company recently formed Strategic Graphite Partners LLC with ALO Graphite Partners to target buyers in U.S. defense, nuclear, and semiconductor sectors. Zentek raised $18 million to support its operations and plans to establish a direct-to-consumer channel for its ZenGUARD™ air filtration technology. Given the growing demand for graphite, especially for lithium-ion batteries and renewable energy, the Albany project could position Zentek favorably within a competitive supply chain dominated by China.
