ZOEX Ltd Secures Wave Energy Prototype Sale and Asia Pacific Development Agreement

NOVEL RENEWABLE ENERGY

Scottish marine energy company ZOEX Ltd has achieved a significant milestone by securing its first international sale of a wave energy prototype and entering a major development agreement in the Asia Pacific region. Founded in 2022 by Ash Penley, ZOEX's wave energy converter has undergone successful sea trials at Belde Park, Ordu, Turkey, starting in July 2025.

The trials demonstrated the device's ability to generate energy in sea-states as low as 50cm and withstand storms up to 3 meters. ZOEX will convert the Belde Park site into a microgrid for local streetlights, highlighting the benefits of wave energy.

The Asia Pacific agreement with EcoStrategy Ltd aims to develop demonstration projects in Taiwan and Guam, targeting a pipeline of 100MW within three years. ZOEX's technology is also gaining attention in markets like Peru and Taiwan, where it can replace diesel generators with clean energy.
